As per decision of Executive Committee Meeting held on 19-08-2010 following schedule has been approved annual election for member of managing committee will be held of Saturday 28th September as per attached programme.

VOTING RIGHT

Those members who have completed as least Two years of their valid membership of PTA as on the date of announcement of election schedule and renewed their membership by 30th March 2010 will be entitled to cast vote.

CIRCULATION OF ELECTION NOTICE WITH ATTENDANCE LIST OF M.C MEMBERS

Circulation of election notice and up to date attendance list of Managing Committee members will be sent
Preliminary list voters shall be supplied to the voters on a formal request, who can collect the same from the PTA Office.

ARTICLE 34(B)3

“The proprietor, partner or director of the member firm or company concern or a person not below the rank of General Manager, authorized by the Board of Director s of public limited company or a multi-national company, shall be entitled to cast his/her vote at the time of election, only if his or her name has already been registered with the Secretary General
and his name appears on the list of votes.”

The signature obtained at the time of casting vote, must tally with the specimen signature card already
deposited with the Chamber

The prescribed nomination forms filled in neatly and duly proposed, seconded and signed in the appropriate
column would be filled by any person who is eligible to contest the election for the vacant post of
M.C Member

b)      Change of representative last date                                        01-09-10  Wednesday

c)       Issuance of Final List of Voters.                                             03-09-10  Friday

 (Voter eligible to vote has to be member of Association for two years.)

d)      Last date of objection and provisional voter list                06-09-10  Monday

e)      After any objection in voter list election commission will decide andissue final voter list.

f)       Issuance of Nomination Paper.                                            15-09-10  Wednesday

g)      Last date of receiving Nomination Paper.                          17-09-10  Friday

h)      Issuance of eligible candidate list.                                      18-09-09  Saturday

i)        Objection if any nomination candidate to the Election Commission comprising of
Mr. Saeed A Khawaja and Sharif Bhai nominated by E.C.        20-09-10  Monday

j)        Election Polling will be held on (at PTA Registered Office)      28-09-09   Tuesday.

Tea Import Up By 19.10pc in Aug 2009
KARACHI: Pakistan has imported 8.052 millions kilos of tea worth $20.891 million in August 2009, up by 19.10 per cent over July 2009.

Tea imports fall on rising duty, prices
KARACHI: July 2: Tea imports declined to 89,819 tons ($186 million) in July-June 2008-09 as compared to 101,000 tons ($188 million) in the corresponding period of the last fiscal year as high prices and import duty forced packers and importers to opt for slow buying.
